Biography

I passionately advocate for sustainable solutions in food security and environmental conservation in vulnerable communities to build resilience in the face of climate change. In my current role, I work closely with coastal fishing communities, training them on climate-smart kitchen gardening techniques to improve household nutrition and generate additional income. This hands-on experience has given me deep insights into these communities' challenges and the importance of empowering them with sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, I have worked with communities in Nyanza and Western Kenya to establish household fruit tree nurseries and successfully reforest Ligongo Hills in Rusinga island and Misango Hills in Kakamega County, planting over 20,000 indigenous trees. Contributing to environmental restoration and provided alternative livelihood opportunities for the local communities. I am eager to learn from the experiences of others and contribute my skills and knowledge to create a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
