Biography
Payton is a current high school junior in Chicago and an aspiring lawyer/businesswoman. She loves to dive into discussions about identity and ontology, subjects she plans to bring into her future endeavors as a business and law student. Payton is a Varsity critical policy Debater, committing to weekend-long tournaments and extensive research. She also has completed her term as a part of the Georgetown Law Outreach Program over the school year, learning from lawyers and students from all walks of the practice. Recently, she has been awarded a scholarship by the Law School Mentor in recognition for her potential and ambition. As a Chicago Teen Tutor and a Lane Tech Mentor, she works firsthand with students to help them optimize their education. She has won the People’s Choice competition and came in second for an entrepreneurial pitch competition with Future Founders and was recently inducted into the Junior Economic Club of Chicago. Payton is a Neolth Mental Health ambassador where she is currently leading a pilot program with Neolth based on her innovation challenge award-winning project, “Aid with Perspective.” Payton enjoys reading, running cross country with her team, and shopping with friends!
