Biography

Makayla is a 20-year-old student currently attending Old Dominion University as a Sophomore and soon-to-be Junior. She is pursuing a double major in Creative Writing and Education with a minor in Theater. Makayla aspires to build a career in teaching and performing arts, aiming to become an accomplished actress, screenwriter, and educator. Makayla is assistant teaching artist at non-profit organization Teens With A Purpose where she spends most of her time teaching kids the do-don’ts of stage presence and the art of poetry. Makayla also has her own Christian- based podcast on Spotify called 1-800 Don’t Call Me Call Jesus, where she talks about her own personal life, as well as sharing positive reassurance to people going through a hard time. In her down time, Makayla enjoys watching YouTube, with favorites including CoryxKenshin, Berleezy, and DashieGames. Her hobbies also include singing, dancing, writing poetry, and journaling. Through her studies and creative pursuits. Makayla is dedicated to honoring her craft and making a significant impact in the world of performing arts and education.
