2025 Learning Festival
In this time of great transition, deep suffering, hope and reflection, we write to invite you to our fifth annual YouthxYouth Learning Festival on January 24th, 25th, and 26th. This youth-led 3-day learning journey is the culminating experience of a week-long Learning Planet Festival around the International Day of Education.
EDUCATION FOR THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: FOR A WORLD WHERE MANY WORLDS BELONG.
Join us as we gather in community to feel, heal, dream, and nurture the educational landscapes that our times demand. In a time of great uncertainty, how can we grieve what has been lost, let go of what no longer serves us, and renew our active hope in co-creating a more beautiful world? Through gathering together across countries and generations we'll explore the role of education in helping us navigate this transition.
Over the three days we will be guided by this key question: ‘What kind of education might enable us to face the end of the world as we know it and, in its place, to build many worlds where all life belongs?’
DAY 1 - WHAT IS: FACING (What do we need to open our eyes to?)
DAY 2 - WHAT IF: GROWING UP (Who do we need to become?)
DAY 3 - WHAT NOW: SHOWING UP (How do we start/continue to show up in these times?)

Annual Learning Festival
About the program
The annual Learning Festival is a convergence of dedicated beings from all over the globe dedicated to learning, imagining, and weaving with one another in service of education transformation. This hybrid gathering, occurring every January around the International Day of Education in partnership with Learning Planet Institute, is a space committed to fostering a sense of belonging, learning, and co-action among all who engage both online and in-person in our Glocal Hubs. Each year, the Festival focuses on one learning question that guides us through the 3-day learning journey from What Is to What If and culminating with What Now. We host multiple sessions from Activist Classrooms to Community Gardens and even an Open Mic!
