the waters

the waters tell me that things are always moving

how to open my heart so  wide

that the fear that it will burst

creeps in

they show me how to hold space for it all

the waters tell me that change is the way

that to move against bears no fruit

and they show me how to ripple graciously

how to fall with the breeze and be moved

the waters tell me that we need healing

they show me that we want to heal

even the darkest, deepest fears

the dirtiest mires

want to be held and loved

the waters tell me to keep expanding

to grow with the course of things

they show me how to push gently

 not forcing or grasping

but tenderly longing

the waters tell me to illuminate

to be the mirror

and turn my heart towards the light

they show me how to stay open to the world

and remember that love is the path

the waters show and tell me

the loving ways to liberation

and in my loving of the waters

i come home

i vow to be loving

to extend this love to all beings

to be guided by love

to let my love be revolutionary

to let love alchemise

to let love transform

i vow to be love
